The oil field pump jack is an elegant engineering solution to the problem of raising oil to the surface from fields that have insufficient pressure at the wells hole bottom.

These tireless sentinels work day and night in the oil fields which are in the farmers fields
of the Canadian Prairies. Bringing 5-10 litres of oil emulsion to the surface with each stroke, these field hands produce enormous quantities of oil year after year.
